Clean-up in Aisle B!

I originally made this an alcohol and drug recovery site, but I realize that everyone is recovering from something and can use some positive words of encouragement. Whatever you are going through, you don't have to go through it alone!

I am a recovering alcoholic with many other issues, trying to find my way home. Feel free to comment on postings by choosing the comment tag at the bottom of each post. I look forward to hearing from you. Another resource I recommend: www.nacronline.org A Christian oriented website dedicated to recovery - I suggest reading the daily meditation, taken from "Rooted in God's Love" by Dale and Juanita Ryan - Check it out!

Serenity Prayer
by Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971)

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.
